Role Description
The University of Ottawa Students’ Union is currently seeking UOSU students to serve as Student Life Ambassadors.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and facilitation of events such as 101 Week, Frost, the Student Life Awards, Fed Up, etc.
- Welcome, guide, and assist participants during events
- Promote initiatives, events, and services related to student life on campus
- Distribute promotional materials and engage students in public spaces (booths, tables, etc.)
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for students
- Encourage involvement and participation in student life
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at the University of Ottawa (full-time or part-time)
- Have a strong interest in student life and campus involvement
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate a positive, reliable, and collaborative attitude
- Have strong initiative and autonomy
- Be adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Be available to participate in various events (day, evening, or weekend)
- First Aid certification and/or Smart Serve is an asset
- Experience in facilitation, volunteering, or event organization is an asset
- Being bilingual (French and English) or comfortable in both languages is an asset
