This campaign aims to fight against linguistic insecurity on campus. In collaboration with several Francophone clubs, UOSU organizes a weekly coffee hour where students receive a free coffee or hot chocolate and a pastry... if they order in French!  

What is linguistic insecurity?  

• It is a lack of confidence or embarrassment about one's accent or way of speaking. 
• It can lead to self-censoring and a fear of speaking up.  
• Linguistic insecurity can affect anyone, whether French is their first language or not.  

Espresso yourself in French offers a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone can speak French without fear of judgment. We value linguistic diversity and celebrate the Francophonie in all its forms. Come chat and meet other Francophones and Francophiles over a good cup of coffee!
