The Elections Office informs voters that Lucien Day has withdrawn his candidacy for the Board of Directors seat representing the Faculty of Social Sciences in the Fall 2026 By-Election.

The University of Ottawa Students’ Union (UOSU) Elections Office is pleased to publish the official list of candidates for the Fall 2026 UOSU By-Election.
Following the close of the nomination period and the review of nomination packages, the following candidates have been approved to appear on the ballot.
The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) leads the Elections Office. They are hired by and report to the Elections Committee. The CEO is appointed for a one-year term from May 1 to April 30.
The CEO exercises general direction and supervision over the conduct of elections, referendums, and plebiscites. They are also responsible for ensuring that the Elections Office remains fair and impartial with regard to all the elections, referendums, and plebiscites that it administers.
Salem Habes has been serving as Chief Electoral Officer since April 2026 . He is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at the Faculty of Common Law at the University of Ottawa.
