Advocacy

While individual actions like reducing waste and recycling/ composting are extremely important, the climate crisis is overwhelmingly caused and worsened by large corporations and their practices around the world– you may have read that just 100 companies are to blame for 71% of global emissions. Here you’ll find resources on climate justice and how to get involved!

  • About: Based in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, on unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin Anishnaabeg territory, we are part of the climate and environmental justice movement following the lead of the most impacted communities to ensure a liveable climate for future generations. Through empowering communities, we challenge political systems that do not align with an equitable and healthy planet. We participate in the process of reconciliation and decolonization, and support First Nations, Métis and Inuit self-determination. We work in a proactive way towards collectively-defined goals, while understanding the necessity for reactionary mobilization in climate organizing, particularly in the national capital.
